Denzel Washington in Fallen (1998)

Goofs

Fallen

Edit

Continuity

(at around 1h 22 mins) When Hobbes enters Stanton's office, Stanton is hanging up the phone. In the next cut, when Hobbes sits down, Stanton is hanging up the phone once again.
(at around 1h 17 mins) After shooting a man on the street, Hobbes walks over to the man lying in the street. The dead man is shown with a gun still in his hand, but when Hobbes reaches only the man's feet (nowhere near his hand), Hobbes is seen kicking the gun away.
(at around 1h 40 mins) Hobbes and his nephew Sam arrive at Gretta's house at night while it's snowing out. As they enter the house, there is no snow on them.
(at around 2h) Amount of snow on Hobbes' hair and jacket when he is lying on ground at the end.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

(at around 44 mins) As Hobbes is driving up to the cabin in the woods, what looks like a cat dashes underneath the house into what appears to be a crawlspace of the type found under houses built on piers. Yet later, Hobbes goes downstairs into what looks like a full basement. Houses on piers do not have basements. The cat runs under the fuel oil tank, not under the house.
(at around 1h 30 mins) The morning after the teacher is shot by Hobbes, a witness (possessed by the demon Azazel) comes forward on the morning TV news and lies, saying Hobbes "shot first, and kept shooting." This causes Hobbes to flee because the police will be coming for him. However, previous witness testimony from the day before, already given to the police, stated that the teacher shot first and not Hobbes. And once Hobbes's gun was examined, showing he had only fired one shot, he would have been cleared and had no reason to hide.

Two witnesses, describing different versions (which is not testimony) of the same event, cancel each other out. Examining his gun cannot show how many shots had been fired. Only counting cartridges left in the magazine can tell that, and only if the count were done immediately, before it can be reloaded.
(at around 1h 7 mins) Azazel supposedly retains the memories of the people he possesses. However when he confronts Gretta he doesn't recognize her, despite the fact that he had possessed her father when he failed to destroy him. He makes a comment that she looks familiar but he can't place her.

Revealing mistakes

(at around 1h 8 mins) When Azazel punches the window of the cab containing Gretta Milano, it shatters like regular glass. An automobile window breaks into tiny round pieces.

Crew or equipment visible

(at around 1h 45 mins) When Hobbes returns to the wood cabin towards the end of the film, he enters and stands looking around for a moment, with a window to his left. A definite human shadow can be seen walking past the window, despite Hobbes being alone.
