An engaging, quality mystery.

Retired soldier Robert Deeks is hit by a car late at night, question is, was a drunken Andy driving, or his mate Arnie Bancroft?

Series two has felt rather different to the first, and it's another intriguing, fine, down to Earth mystery. One which almost sees Peter pitted against Andy, it's their conflict that makes this one so interesting, it adds another layer.

They played it in such a way that you're made to question whether Andy is guilty or not, it's very well done.

The story of Ellie's dad was so sad, but so well played out, dementia is the most cruel thing for all involved.

Emma Cunniffe was great as Emma, nice to see her playing an unsavoury character, she always seems to play sweet, virtuous roles, she's great here, and quite strikingly beautiful. David Yelland and Sheila Ruskin were both very good in support.

I may be wrong, but did I spot Kelly Harrison playing a waitress?

8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Andy always has a boorish and obnoxious manner , but in this episode he takes it to a really low level. His attitude, after being responsible for a traffic death is really hard to take, Acting completely oblivious to his behavior, he plays the " you scratch my back,I'll scratch yours" attitude in order to escape blame for his crime. He attacks his associate for trying to find out out what really happened/ The people he uses to back up his claim of innocence are people of low character so it explains the type of people he buddies up with. Andy shows no regard for the person whose life he took and that is shameful.
