Goofs

Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco

Edit

Continuity

When the house with the boy and the kitten catches fire, the movie clearly shows an inside fire, while the cigar lit the bushes outside...
The dog in the opening scene has a dark brown spot on his forehead, which disappears later in the movie, as the dog 'actor' has changed.
Chance is obviously played by a different dog in this film than the first one. Most noticeable is the dog has more tan spots on his neck and shoulders.

Factual errors

The emergency vehicles at San Francisco Airport and the house fire are all missing a solid red light anytime the front emergency lights are active. The state of California requires all emergency vehicles including police vehicles to have at least one solid red light facing forward present when the front emergency lights are activated.

Revealing mistakes

After Jack puts down the French poodle, and heads back into the blood-red van, the urine stain isn't visible until he's inside the van.
When Chance and Delilah are walking down a sidewalk, the spots on Chance's head changes as he hits his head on a red fire hydrant, revealing it to be a stunt double.
The theatrical version shows Chance stealing a hot dog out of some guy's hand. While the VHS version doesn't show it.

Crew or equipment visible

At the end of the movie when the family meets Deliah, there is a crew member standing behind them.

Errors in geography

Some scenes show the Vancouver, not the San Francisco skyline.
The airport exteriors have trees and hills in the surroundings. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) doesn't have any of those types of surroundings.
