Stephanie Leon was nine years old when her mother's boyfriend saw an ad in the paper for girls to be in this film. When she saw the long line outside Nordisk Film of hopeful children who wanted a part in the film, she turned around and told her mother, "I'm not doing this!" But she went to the casting anyway and got the part of Maj-Britt in Vibeke Gad's children's film.
"It was really hard to be away from home for so long to shoot the film. We were living in Gilleleje at the time and my father had just moved back to Spain, so I had to do without both my parents," she says.
