"Megami Paradise" (aka "Megami Tengoku") is an Action/Comedy/Anime directed by Katsuhiko Nishijima year 1995. This OVA-series consists of two episodes, with exactly 29 minutes each episode.
NO ending spoilers here, just the plot of the both of the episodes crammed together.
In a female-only utopia-like place called Megami Paradise, Lilith has been chosen by the new Mamamega to be a shrine maiden. She doesn't feel sure about it, so she tries to convince the harp-playing Stashia to be one, without luck. The childish Rurubell appears, insisting to be a shrine maiden herself. And both of them meets Juliana, the best swords-master in Megami Paradise.
But some of the other Goddesses of the place are already attacked, resulting with Lilith and Rurubell to be the culprits. Until it is revealed that is was all done by the evil Maharaja, Rouge, Angela and Pastel, originally sent by the former Mamamega (also called Yamimama) destined to rule the world, by first disappearing with the Astrostar (an extremely important gem) with her. With Lilith kidnapped, it is first up to Stashia and Juliana to save her...and the Paradise...
Having re-watched this OVA series just a couple of minutes ago, now I even like it even more than what I did when watching this for the first time a few years ago. The place where the OVA begins looks like it's inspired by how Greece was build for thousands of years ago, even though I haven't been in this country. Loved the animation too, as well as the action and the humor itself. Even the girls in this OVA are all beautiful. Overall this is one of the better fan-service animes I have seen.
It is also interesting to know that this is the first fan-service anime to be directed by Katsuhiko Nishijima, who would also use the same fan-service routine in later animes like "Agent Aika", "Labyrinth of Flames" and "Najica: Blitz Tactics", the last title which I haven't watched yet. He is also known for some earlier stuff like "Project A-Ko" and "Villgust".
In the US this OVA was only released on VHS by ADV Video, and has never been released on DVD or Blu-Ray, so far. A Japanese DVD containing the two episodes exists.
As this OVA simply doesn't exist in Norway, my suggested rating based on the Norwegian rating system is 15, because of the brief nudity and most of the fighting scenes throughout.
