The amount of blood on Deja's face and shirt changes from shot to shot.

The position of the frozen broccoli that Malik uses to "ice" his face with changes between shots.

Immediately after Malik leaves Prof. Phipps' office for the last time, the camera pans in on a plaque that reads "Columbus University: propter aurum quod autulerunt et propter sanguis quiem effuderunt. The Latin should read, "propter aurum quod abstulerunt et propter sanguinem qui effudit." ("Columbus University: because of the gold that they have taken away and because of the blood that has flowed.")

Early in the film, Remy says it is 1995. Campus fliers for "Peace Fest" give a date of Saturday, November 15. That date was a Saturday in 1986 and 1997.

During the shooting scene at the festival the crowd scatters but you can see some of the students running back and forth in the same area - not running away from the shooter.

Immediately after the red Volkswagen beetle is flipped and the three girls are walking along the sidewalk, rain falls in the background, but not on the girls.

Malik competes in track meets. The film takes place in the fall semester. Track in universities is a spring sport.

Remy says he is from Idaho, but he speaks with a thick New York accent.

Malik confronts Remy at his dorm room and says that Remy has been good about not saying anything to him, but in the previous scene, Remy confronts Malik by the statue about Malik's black panther shirt, and gleefully calls him a racial slur ("coon").
