The array of the Hollywood Walk of Fame stars in the title sequence is fictitious. All of them are spread across one mile on Hollywood Blvd., even on opposite sidewalks. The title sequence order is: Carole Lombard (6930 Hollywood Blvd.), Lana Turner (6241), Kim Novak (6332), Lassie (6368), Jean Harlow (6910), - and Cybill.
The title sequence pans up the Hollywood Walk of Fame past the stars of Carole Lombard, Lana Turner, Kim Novak, Lassie and Jean Harlow to where Cybill had sketched her own star in chalk. In reality all those stars cover a mile-long stretch of Hollywood Boulevard, and when starting from Carole's requires passing Jean's, Lassie's and Kim's in that order on the way to Lana's, which is on the other side of the street.
