- AnecdotesWhile based on a true story, "White Mile" is very reminiscent of a television movie from 1974 titled "Pray for the Wildcats" wherein a corporate survivalist takes a group of ad-men on a desert dirt-bike trip in Baja, Mexico, to test their stamina, and to bring them together in a manly fashion. Like "White Mile" stars a former television icon, Alan Alda from MASH, "Pray for the WIldcats" featured several actors famous for television roles: Andy Griffith, Robert Reed and William Shatner.

Jack Robbins: Do you want me to make the calls to the families?
Dan Cutler: No, I'll call them. You go back home, and make sure people don't fall apart. You know, there's a lesson here. I didn't motivate them enough. If I'd just built a fire under them, we wouldn't be here now. I let myself down, you know? You were great out there, Jack; you ought to be proud of yourself.
