It is a myth that vodka is not detectable on the breath. If Alice were indeed drinking a quart a day her husband, and everyone near her, would have smelled it.

When Michael approaches Amy and her family in the Asian restaurant, the caption says they are speaking Chinese. They are actually speaking Vietnamese.

Being a retired airline pilot, a couple of inconsistencies were obvious. For one thing, the uniform is only worn to and from the airport and, of course, during a trip. That's it. Showing up in uniform in a bar, as Michael did in the first scene, can result in automatic termination.

Another thing that jumped out is where he makes a passenger cabin announcement during the landing roll. While not necessarily against regulations, it is prudent to wait until at least clearing the runway, especially when landing in marginal weather on a wet runway.

When Michael takes the bottles out to the trash, a cameraman can be seen slinking past the open doorway of the house.
