MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis (1994)

Goofs

MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis

Edit

Continuity

The second time MacGyver lights the candle, the wick has clearly not been lit before.
When MacGyver is on the English taxi, he breaks the windshield with his fist. The windshield is intact in some later shots.
When the ark is stolen, MacGyver breaks the windshield on the car. It goes from broken to fixed in the car chase.
Through the scene with MacGyver on the black cab, and the subsequent chase on foot, the time is shown as 4:55 on the clock of Westminster Abbey, then 8:00 on Big Ben, then 7:05 on Big Ben.

Factual errors

The planets are not as big and visible as depicted in the film, and they do not move as quickly as shown.

Revealing mistakes

One of the heavy stalactites that falls from the ceiling into the sand bounces upon impact.

Errors in geography

The dot on Atticus's map showing the location of the "Caves of Exeter" is actually at Exmouth, 10 miles away from Exeter and on the other side of the River Exe.

Character error

Professor Atticus says that the treasure is hidden in the ''tower of fear,'' and the Greek word for fear is Thera. It's actually Phobos. Thera means "hunting," and is the second name for the island of Santorini.
