Judicial Consent (1995)

Goofs

Judicial Consent

Edit

Continuity

When Martin has sex with Gwen, you hear him rip her pantyhose open, but the next shots don't show any runs or strands of torn nylon that accompany ripped pantyhose.

Factual errors

Judge Warwick declares a mistrial, when in fact she should have ordered a directed verdict; refutation of a witness's evidence isn't grounds for a mistrial.
The defense attorney asked Mayron's clerk a long string of questions which were objectionable as calling for an opinion, since he's not qualified as an expert.
The defense attorney's conversation with Judge Warwick in the courtroom hallway was improper ex parte communication; she could be censured or even disbarred for that.
Similarly, Mayron's gift to Judge Warwick was utterly improper. Judges can't accept gifts from attorneys who appear before them.
Actually, judges do have people who do their research for them; it is not a myth put forward by politicians and law professors.
