The first time, when Meredith Johnson and Tom Sanders are meeting in her office, when Meredith's secretary comes to ask her boss if she could leave earlier right after Meredith grants her wish, the secretary leaves and locks the office door. But when Tom Sanders leaves after he is harassed by Meredith, he opens the door, as if it was not locked.
When Tom's wife and Catherine are walking into Pike Place Market, there is an extra with a bright blue shirt and a white beard who walks across the screen in two places.
The stain on Tom Sanders' tie changes position.
When Tom is using the "Corridor" to look through Digicom's files, the Operations "file drawers" are labelled "Operations Singapore", "Operations Malaysia", etc. Yet when he opens the Malaysia "drawer", the system audio announces it as "Malaysia Operations".
The mediation is completely unrealistic. In a mediation, no court reporter is present to make a transcript and the lawyers do not cross-examine the opposing parties; it is not a mini-trial. In reality, the parties explain their case to the mediator and the mediator tries to get the two sides to agree on terms.
During the deposition when both parties are listening to the tape of the harassment, Tom's lawyer mentions that he says "no" 31 times. When looking at the actual harassment scene, he says "no" even more times than that (more than 40 times).
In Demi's speech, she says 60 fields per second, instead of 60 frames per second.
When Tom screams in bed after his nightmare, his wife doesn't wake up.
Near the very end of the movie, when Tom goes up to Meredith's office to retrieve the files that he left there Meredith says "I am surprised that you didn't come up here to gloat" to which Tom responds "Gloating is underrated", which does not make sense since he was not in fact going to gloat. What he should have said was "Gloating is overrated".
When Tom is driving to the Bainbridge - Seattle ferry at the beginning of the movie (with the Mt. Rainier in the background), he's actually driving away from the ferry down a dead end road on the island.
Both Tom and Susan are waiting for a bus to take them to the ferry in the Seattle Transit Tunnel at an Eastbound stop, while the ferry terminal is just a few blocks to the west.
When Don Cherry is showing Tom Sanders the progress they are making in diagnosing the Arcamax circuit board, he pulls out a chip and puts it under a magnifying lens (at 55:38). They don't notice that the chip has at least two bent pins; this would cause major problems with any electronic circuit.
