When Preston goes to cash his million dollar check the owner of the bank gives him the money, and if you look at the bills they are all ten and five dollar bills. This means there were between 100,000 and 150,000 bills Preston would have to fit in his backpack. This is extremely unbelievable for Preston to carry; there's too many bills, and it would weigh approximately 220 pounds.
When Preston is filling out the check on his computer, he types "One million dollars", but when it is printed, it comes out as "one million and 00/100"
The remote control near the end of the movie in Preston's mansion is smashed into pieces, and later back to its previous condition.
In the beginning of the film, when Quigley is in the warehouse, he closes the compartment on the floor twice.
When Preston places the backpack on the desk and opens it, the bank manager turns to get the money out of the safe and Preston puts the bag on the desk again.
Preston's expense report towards the end of the movie indicates that he spent $999,667.83. However, after calculating the math and tracking the listed expenses with their appearances through the movie, the actual amount Preston had spent at this time totaled $504,879.08. Also the list does not include the amount that he paid for the house or the cash he had in the backpack. The maximum that the bottom should read is: $804,879.08.
When Preston calculates the time required to accumulate one million dollars from the birthday check, the answer is in error by several times. The movie shows the time as 342,506 years. If the interest is calculated yearly, it should take 338 years, or monthly it should take 331 years and 7 months.
When Preston first meets Henry, he calls him "Harry".
Preston's backpack is much too small for $1,000,000 to fit in.
Even though the month is supposed to be August, according to the date written on the check, fall foliage is clearly visible throughout the film.
When the guests leave Mr. Macintosh's party, they grab all the presents. A man grabs a present with blue wrapping paper. You can clearly see that it's an empty cardboard box and not even fully wrapped.
The license plate on the limo reads "EZ-LIFE" as the car pulls away from the water fountain scene. Once the driver drops off Shay and pulls away the license is a numerical one.
When Preston throws the money in the air in his bedroom, some of the backs are blank, mostly on the bed.
During the car chase, a quick shot is shown to be mirrored. The steering wheel is on the right side of the car, and Preston's jacket has the letter R on his right side as well. Also, it is clear that the person driving the car is a stunt actor.
Nearly the entire crew can be seen reflected in the window when Preston is being made fun of by his brothers on the go kart track.
Near the end of the film, where Preston is using a go-cart to push Quigley around in a cage-ball, a metal ring can clearly be seen mounted on the front of the go-cart (to keep the ball from straying).
Near the end of the movie Quigley learns that Preston has spent the entire $1 million dollars. But yet the check Preston cashes in reads August 9, 1993. This is a Monday. Later, Shay visits and asks about if Macintosh is available. Preston asks what day it is, and she replies Wednesday. Preston says no, but says he is. They go out that night and later Preston says that Friday there's gonna be a big party and Macintosh will be there. After the big party, that takes place on Friday the trio catch Preston and Quigley goes, "How could you spend $1 million in just 6 days." There is no way that 6 days could have elapsed during this time span. Only 4 days have elapsed.
After receiving the $100,000 bill for the party, when Preston types it into his expense report, it only shows $10,000.
