Watchable and mildly entertaining, but hardly an outstanding movie...

"Pink Bomb" (aka "Ren sheng de yi shuai jin huan") is an archetypical early 1990s Hong Kong movie, which combines action and comedy, for better or worse. If you are familiar with the Hong Kong cinema from the 1990s, then you know what you are getting yourself into here when you sit down to watch "Pink Bomb".

Now, the title of the movie "Pink Bomb" made little sense actually, and I don't fathom why the writer Chi Wah Wong and director Derek Chiu opted for that particular title.

Regardless, the movie is watchable and sort of entertaining enough for what it turned out to be. You just have to bear in mind that this is not a brilliant slice of Hong Kong cinema. The movie is stereotypical for its era, I will say that much - so whether you like that or not is, of course, fully individual.

I sat through the entire movie, and was mildly entertained. However, this is hardly a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time around.

I have been watching Hong Kong movies for quite some time and do enjoy them, however there was only a single familiar actor for me in the movie, and that was Ching Wan Lau.

All in all, "Pink Bomb" is adequately entertaining, albeit mediocre. That means that I am rating the movie five out of ten stars.
