Officer Sanchez needs to use the restroom, but Officer Gillis tells him to hurry up, that they overstayed their welcome. Despite the fact that Officer Gillis is obviously American, Officer Sanchez responds to him in Spanish.
In the climax when Detective Ferguson rushes to his car to get away from the falling letters of the damaged Holiday Palace sign, the car door is closed shut on his trench coat before he drives away.
