Not the best, but certainly entertaining

To start with the bad news: not every episode of this series is that good; but overall this series does hold up a decent level over 5 seasons.

The writing is simple, but usually has a decent plot and directing is good enough to keep you entertained.

Even though the acting is a bit over the top at times, I do think Flodder's big popularity in the 90's really is a result of very solid performances by the actors. There is a visibly great chemistry between all characters.

If it wasn't for Coen van Vrijberghe de Coningh's unfortunate death in the late 90's, the whole series might've possibly been continued for another few seasons.

Best comedy serie ever made in Holland!

Flodder was the best comedy serie ever made in Holland. Some episodes are not soo good like Gluren bij de buren, inzet, Videogeweld and medium raar. But the acting performances where world class what a talentful leading cast. Everything is good on this show.

So i write one more thing, never reboot this series ever again! you never get it soo amazing good like it was.

The Flodder series earns an unequivocal 10/10 for being one of the finest comedic series ever produced in the Netherlands. It stands out for its unique humor, memorable characters, and the exceptional performance of its cast, notably Coen van Vrijberghe.

The strength of Flodder lies in its brilliant portrayal of a dysfunctional family in a suburban setting, with each character bringing their own quirks to the show. The late Coen van Vrijberghe, a key member of the cast, delivers a standout performance that significantly contributes to the show's appeal. His untimely passing was a great loss to the series and its fans.

Additionally, the character of Giele Kees is another highlight of the show, offering moments of humor and adding depth to the series. The interplay between the characters, combined with the situational comedy, makes for a consistently entertaining watch.

Flodder is more than just a comedy; it's a cultural icon in Dutch television. Its ability to blend humor with social commentary, all while maintaining a light-hearted and engaging atmosphere, is a testament to its quality.
