After Jim sees the greasers chasing Billy from inside his vehicle, we then see Billy with the greasers behind him from front-on. This does not show Jim following them in the background.
When the greasers are chasing Billy there is a brief shot of the completely empty bridge. After Billy crashes there are two fishermen with tackle fishing off it.
After the greasers run Billy off the road, two men fishing from the bridge run over to help him, and they have tackle box and bag beside them. A few seconds later when the greasers drive away over the bridge, the bag is shifted.
When the wife is talking about the tradition in a new house its clear the film has been played around with as her night attire vanishes between on and off.
The train accident that killed the greasers happened in 1963. The train that hit their 1955 Chevy, killing them, was the Southern Pacific 5021. The Southern Pacific 5021 was retired in 1955 and was the only train of its kind preserved and donated to the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society on March 8, 1956. It's not possible for that train to have killed the gang in 1963.
The headstones of Richard, Vinny, and North show that they all are born in 1946/47 and died in 1963 - making them 16/17 at the time. Wayne's headstone shows that he is born on the 15th of January 1948, which makes him only about 1 year younger than the evil trio. However Wayne looks like he is at least 10 years younger than any of the three kids.
When Jim's son Scotty finds the pair of red sneakers, Jim states that he used to have a pair just like it when he was a kid. However in the flashback scene of the young hoods roughing up Jim's brother Wayne, it was Wayne wearing the red sneakers. Jim had different colored footwear.
Even though Mueller is the only one to have climbed out of the car, in the frame just before the train hits the greaser's car in the first dream sequence, you can see there is no one in the car.
When Chip threw the orange at the blackboard in Jim Norman's classroom, he did it with enough force to smash it, however Jim holds it in his hand to confront the class.
When Lawson says "get this bum out of my way before I slap him" at the end, his mouth does not match his voice.
When the black car is chasing the student in the beginning, you can see the vehicle carrying the camera reflected in the hubcaps and the front fender.
When they return the greasers are able to drive their car without the keys which Jim took from the crash scene in 1963. So why do they need them to drive out of the tunnel during the finale?
The principal tells Jim that Lawson is a transfer from Milford, which is what Lawson and Vincent tell Jim when they first appear in class. Later Jim tells old Officer Nell he can't find any Milford High, which Nell tells him isn't a school, it is the cemetery where they reside. Surely the principal would have known there was no school by that name.
Why didn't Jim inform the Principal and the police that Vincent threatened him with a knife in the classroom? He had the confiscated knife and a room full of witnesses to back up his story.
When Jim confronts Mueller for the first time, he accuses him of having punched Wayne, knocked him down and kicked him. In the flashback of this incident seen earlier, Mueller never did such a thing.
