Danny tells his partner he can not attend the bear game with him because he has a date with Teresa at the ballet, however the date is a Saturday night NFL games are never played on a Saturday night early in the season they are usually played toward the end of the season, their date took place on Halloween night also.
Danny's brother tells him he got Danny's boss to "transfer him to a precinct in Florida." City police departments are self governing -- there is no way anyone in the Chicago police department could transfer anyone to a precinct in another city.
Danny is supposed to attend a Red Sox-White Sox at Comiskey Park where "Clemens is pitching." He doesn't go to the game but later at the bar, the game is being televised, and there Roger Clemens is indeed seen on the TV pitching for the Red Sox. However he is wearing the Red Sox home jersey (no name on back) instead of the road jerseys, which include player surnames above the uniform number. As the game was supposed to be in Chicago, Clemens should have been wearing the road jersey.
