The interior of the Carrington mansion now looks absolutely nothing like it did in the original series (due to the original sets being taken down two years earlier).
It is revealed that Alexis survived the fall off the balcony (as seen in the finale of the original series two years earlier) by somehow turning in mid-air and landing on top of Dex Dexter. Even if Alexis was a skilled acrobat rather than a woman in her fifties, this would not be possible given the way in which they fell off the balcony.
