  • A drunk man can be seen lazily driving a car for a few moments.
  • Dawn can be seen injecting heroin into her arms to mask her pain.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Lumley the psychotic cop is a serial killer that kills prostitutes. He spends most of the film chasing Dawn and her friend Sy. He uses violent interrogation and murder as a means of locating his two targets. His whole onscreen presence can be disturbing to some viewers.
  • The entire film has a bleak and melancholic atmosphere to it. The streets of Los Angeles look run down and hopeless from the perspective of the homeless characters.
  • The final few minutes of the film are very emotional.
