Chuck Norris in Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection (1990)

Goofs

Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection

Edit

Continuity

The enemy helicopter fires more than four rockets, when it only has four rocket tubes. Also, the American helicopter fires more rockets than the eight that it carries.
The shoes worn by Billy Drago's stunt double during the free-fall sequence change from brown business shoes to black running shoes in various shots.
When McCoy is infiltrating Cota's home, the guard on the balcony has a rifle slung over his shoulder. When McCoy grabs him and pulls him over the side the rifle is no longer there.
Gen. Taylor's gunship changes to different colors. At 1:03:50, flying down the river, it is steel blue with black bands. A few minutes later, at 1:04:10, it is gray with black bands. Then, at 1:26:00, dark blue with black bands and at 1:40:16, it's so dark a gray that the black bands can't be made out.

Factual errors

When McCoy and Bobby take Ramon from the airliner, they jump from a cargo door on the lower deck, however this wouldn't be possible from an airliner at 30,000 feet or higher. They would be unconscious before they jumped. It would also decompress the cabin of the airplane.
When Gen. Olmedo's gunships are on the way, the report was they were 26 minutes out. The AFB San Carlos is 240 miles away, meaning they'd have to fly at 554 MPH, making them almost 2 1/2 times faster than any other helicopter.
McCoy jumps out if the plane with a parachute on his back. On landing it miraculously turns onto a big black back pack full of kit that he didn't jump with.
The fuel tank which the commandos blow up during their raid is misspelled as 'Flamable' instead of 'Flammable'.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

The M1911 pistol used when Ramon Cota is traveling first class on a commercial airliner - the hammer is in the lowered position (resting on the firing pin) when he is held at gunpoint. M1911 pistols are single action - the slide must be pulled back (racked) to chamber a live round, the hammer is automatically cocked and ready to fire.

This is instructions on how to prep an M1911 pistol to fire. Maj. Chavez is a professional and would not have his pistol "locked and loaded" aboard a commercial airliner. He was just using it to assert authority over Cota. There's no Goof here. *
The Spanish word "Solamente" is misspelled "Solamiente" in one of the placards seen at the drug lab.

It's not misspelled. The two words mean the same thing: Alone or Only.
When McCoy jumps out of the plane it is clearly dark out. However, when he lands, it is broad daylight.

He wasn't seen landing so the time of day is unknown, but certainly still dark. Rather than try to find his way through a dark jungle, he waited up in a tree for daylight until Quiquina arrived.

Revealing mistakes

As Ramon Cota is being pulled up to the helicopter high above the ground, Col. Scott McCoy watches Cota's harness rope coming apart. When the rope breaks, Cota falls through the sky, and there is clearly a parachute pack on him in the harness that shouldn't have been there.
During the skydiving sequence Cota's briefcase flies open, releasing all the cash, but by the end of the sequence, not only is the briefcase closed but the money is still flying out. Even if it had still been open the cash would have gone long before the end of the scene.
When Col. McCoy and the others are pinned down in the village, McCoy Shoots one of Cota's men and the slide on his automatic locks back; then he tells the girl to go get in the hut and shoots at least 8 more times with the slide locked back.
During the skydiving sequence, Billy Drago's double is clearly wearing a parachute under his suit. Look for the bulge around his waist.
After McCoy frees the 3 DEA agents he swings on a bar attached to a white concrete wall. He then hides behind the wall before dispatching the guard above but when he climbs over the top there is a window topped by wood, which wasn't there when he grabbed the guard.

There was no bar. There was no concrete wall. There was no window topped by wood and there was no shot showing what was or wasn't there when he grabbed the guard. He did free the 3 DEA agents. That part is correct.
