Cute, but meaningful?

Well, that was really bizarre, I'm not sure if it was supposed to mean anything, but it didn't appear to, nor did any of the characters or story seem to have anything to do with one another, but it was cute.

Tim Curry was deliciously grand as the narrator, especially as the owl.

I actually enjoyed the film, it's short, with cute characters, a pig, a rat, a hibiscus flower, an owl, a bee... there's a sweetness to it that is just really... refreshing.

The film reminds me of childhood innocence.

Incidentally, I have the only post for the film on IMDb now.

And while I don't feel the characters blend well together, there's no real sense of meaning or purpose, and it doesn't seem to tie together much in the end... it is cute and enjoyable.

26 minutes of my life....gone.

"The Marzipan Pig" is an animated short based on some insane childrens' book. I say this because the story really seemed a bit existential and almost pointless to be intended for kids.

The animation is fair. Much of it is limited animation, with tiny parts of drawings moving (almost like "Clutch Cargo") and some looks almost like a slideshow. What I did like was the lovely music and the nice narration by Tim Curry. Still, for me, the bad outweighed the good, as the story itself was just bizarre.
