When Tourvel is in the market, she places several food items in her basket one after the other. However, every time she does so, the basket appears empty even though she had just placed something in it a moment before.
In the bathtub, talking with Valmont, Madame's negligee makes dramatic shifts on and off the legs from one shot to the next.
In bed, talking to her lover, Madame's legs change position from one shot to the next.
After the pond, Valmont enters his room soaked, with his white shirt almost translucent. As he and Madame de Merteuil order Valmont's servant in and out of the room, Valmont's shirt rapidly dries out. When Valmont finally begins to remove his clothes, they are sopping wet again.
