Leningrad Cowboys Go America (1989)

Goofs

Leningrad Cowboys Go America

Edit

Continuity

In the opening scene, and throughout the movie, the frozen bass player's bass guitar is some cheap off-brand guitar. But when he thaws out and gets up to play at the end of the movie, it's a Fender.
At Joe's Place, when the audience is not getting into the mood, Lost Cousin steps in, whispering the guitar player with the brown guitar into the ear which song to play next, making him the only one to know how to start. Instead in the following close shot, the 2nd guitar player (with the purple guitar) is seen playing the intro of Born to be wild.

Revealing mistakes

In the opening scene, the frozen bass player's hand moves.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

Obvious playback of Born To Be Wild as in the beginning - the drummer is not hitting the cymbals according to what's audible.

Crew or equipment visible

When driving to Houston at night, the shadow of either crew member or camera is briefly visible on the side of the white Cadillac.

Character error

While the band performs at the wedding, an extra is seen staring directly into the camera for a moment and then looking elsewhere quickly.
In the desert scene where Igor frees Vladimir, Vladimir (Matti Pellonpää) storms out to attack the band, who are sitting at a fire. He furiously beats them with large ropes, but band members Mauri Sumén and Sakke Järvenpää smile and laugh the whole way through their beating. Sakke especially tries to hold his laughter in while Vladimir storms up.
