The opening of the documentary incorrectly states that: "During the four year between December 1968 and November 1972, there were nine manned flights to the moon." The last lunar mission, Apollo 17, took place in December 1972.

(at around 36 mins) During the Apollo 13 coverage, Houston is heard telling the astronauts to "try SCE to auxiliary." This is actually from the launch of Apollo 12 after it was struck by lightning.

For scenes of spacewalks in earth orbit, scenes from Apollo 9 are mixed with scenes from Gemini program spacewalks.

Revealing mistakes 

When showing the scenes of trans-lunar injection (firing the rocket to leave earth orbit for the moon), scenes of a Gemini spacecraft reentering the atmosphere are shown instead.
