Woman of Fire
Mujer de fuego (1988)
Sonia Infante stars in this rare film. She was the daughter of the uncle of actor and singer Pedro Infante Jr. (Mexican actor and singer). Roberto 'Flaco' Guzmán (Mexican comic) is in here as well. That's not saying much, since it's not that good a film.
I thought Mujer de fuego would be a revenge type film, but it doesn't do anything at all.
The husband of Sonia Infante is in jail and scores a drug deal when he gets out with his son. He rips off the drug lord and gets killed, so does his son. Sonia Infante wants to find out who killed her son, so she sells the drugs that the husband hid. She gets rich. It's absurd and happens quick, as she starts building up her house and changing her fashion style, and partners up with the drug lord who might have killed her son. Corrupt cops are also involved, so it's confusing at times who is shooting at whom.
It's pretty average stuff; I think they went the wrong way with it, since her rise in the drug world is totally unbelievable.
In Spanish with no subtitles.
