Mel Brooks, Bill Pullman, John Candy, Rick Moranis, and Daphne Zuniga in Spaceballs (1987)

Goofs

Spaceballs

Continuity

After Dot Matrix rolls down a sand hill, her metal skirt is damaged. In the next scene, it is undamaged.
In the cave, when Yogurt first appears, a door opens in the base of his statue, he walks out, and the door closes behind him. In the very next shot, the door is open again, Yogurt walks out again, and the door closes behind him again. (DVD version)
Although Dark Helmet throws Lone Starr's Schwartz ring down a grating, Lone Starr is wearing it in the Winnebago after Mega Maid explodes.
When Dark Helmet and Sandurz are watching the tape of Spaceballs (1987), the scrolling words shown at the beginning of the tape are in a different font and do not match what was actually shown at the beginning of the movie. On the tape, the letters are all capitals, but are upper and lower case at the start of the actual film.
When Lone Starr is carrying Princess Vespa in the desert, her arm alternates between being around his neck and in her lap.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

The footprints of the crew, actors and horses in the Planet of the Apes (1968) scene are all visible on the ground, possibly as a reference to the same goof in the original movie.
When Lone Starr, Princess Vespa, Dot Matrix and Barf (or rather, their stunt doubles) are running towards the closing door, it is almost completely closed. In subsequent shots, it is open much wider than before. However, it might be regarded as a parody of action movies.
When Barf and Lone Starr rescue the princess and Dot Matrix from being brought into Dark Helmet's ship, they can breathe in space. This would seem to spoil the motive for stealing Druidia's air supply. However, it is possible that the futuristic technology allowed a force-field to contain a bubble of air around the two vessels.
When Princess Vespa is singing in her prison cell, Barf remarks that she is a bass, which is a male classification (the lowest female range is contralto). It's just a joke.
When President Skroob is beamed into the next room with his head reversed, it is obvious that Mel Brooks simply put his costume on backwards because his hands have also been reversed. However, this could also have been an effect of the faulty transporter that was otherwise not noticed.

Revealing mistakes

Just after Dark Helmet throws Lone Starr's Schwartz ring down the grating, Lone Starr gets up and swirls to face Dark Helmet, then starts backing toward the door. When he does, you can clearly see his face for a few seconds, and it is that of the stunt double, not Bill Pullman.
When Barf is carrying Dot Matrix, Lorene Yarnell Jansson's shoes can be seen underneath the metal feet.
In various scenes when Princess Vespa and Dot Matrix are in the Mercedes, you can see the blue screen reflecting off Dot's casing.
A storm trooper starts to move his hand to his crotch before he is supposed to (before Dark Helmet shouts at the crew and they all cover up the groins).
When Commanderette Zircon calls Skroob in the bathroom, her image and that of her surroundings is not properly perspective-shifted to match the camera angle and perspective of the wall on which her transmission appears.

Miscellaneous

When Lone Starr and Barf enter Vespa's cell, Lone Starr is seen pulling off his helmet, but you can make out Barf holding his helmet just behind Lone Starr's head, and moves as though he's just removed it. Presumably his mechanical ears and hairpiece wouldn't allow the helmet to fit without damaging them.
Most of the ships shown have their engines running continuously as they travel through space. Unlike, say, a car which has to overcome friction from the road and air to keep moving forward, a spaceship only needs to use its engines when accelerating or slowing down.

This is noticeable when Lone Star's ship (Eagle 5) runs of of fuel, necessitating a fast landing; something that would be needed, for example, when flying a plane, whereas a ship in space would just continue on its current course indefinitely.
When Yogurt gives Lone Starr the Schwartz Ring he tells him he might need it later. After the ring is lost down a grate, Yogurt tells Lone Starr to use The Schwartz. Lone Starr explains that he lost the ring. Yogurt then tells him the ring is "Bupkis" and that The Schwartz was within him.

Crew or equipment visible

When Dark Helmet goes flying forward after the ship comes to a screaming halt, you can see the intercom/microphone still suspended up in mid-air with a wire holding it up.
A dolly is visible in front of Dot Matrix's feet on the floor just as they approach the feet of Yogurt's statue. After a cut to the statue and a cut back to them, it is covered by the sand on the ground.
Whenever Pizza the Hutt speaks, the chin of the person in the costume can be seen where Pizza's tongue is supposed to be.
When the Winnebago crashes onto the desert planet, the guide wires are visible at the final moment of impact.
Camera team reflected in black helmet of one trooper in a close shot during the desert scene.

Plot holes

When Barf and Lonestar are rescuing Princess Vespa, she has her outburst and they act surprised that she's a Druish Princess. Barf even comments "she doesn't look Druish." This makes no sense considering they just took the assignment from her father, King Roland of Druidia and were tasked with rescuing his daughter.
The entire premise of the movie hits a major plot hole when the roof of Princess Vespa's ship opens for her and Barf talk and rescue. The main plot of the movie is that planet Spaceball is running out of air and Druidia has air, but it's obvious Vespa and Barf can breathe perfectly fine with zero air during their talking and climbing the ladder to Lone Starr's ship.

Character error

Lone Starr and Barf "jam" Spaceball One's radar with a jar of jam labeled as strawberry. In the next scene, Dark Helmet says that the radar was hit by raspberry jam.
In the diner (visible when the alien is singing and the cook exits the kitchen), the kitchen door reads "EMPLOYEE'S ONLY"; the apostrophe is incorrect.
When all the characters are on the Winnebago trying to escape Mega Maid before it self destructs. Princess Vespa tells Lone Starr that she can see the end of the tunnel coming and to hurry up. However the view of the tunnel when she says this shows only more tunnel, not the end of the tunnel until a few seconds later.
President Skroob and other characters refer to being "beamed down." In Skroob's case, however, he is only beamed the the room next door. Hence, he is not really being beamed "up" or "down."
