Synopsis

  • 1734. The impassible forests in the north of Orthodox Russia home the vaguls, one of its small nations, who have preserved the rites and customs of their ancestors. As any other nation, the vaguls have their history, traditions and gods, the main of which is the golden goddess, the patroness of the vaguls. There were times, many centuries ago, when she stood on a top of a mountain, and anyone could come and ask her for help. But the years passed and the fear for her safety for she was made of pure gold made the vaguls hide her from aliens. Legends about The golden goddess exist to present day, many hunters perished, trying to find her. Once upon a time a deputy of Russian tsarina sends his serf Ivan to taiga to search for the golden goddess, and promised to give freedom to him and to return his fiancée Anna.
