My Little Pony: The Movie (1986)

Goofs

My Little Pony: The Movie

Edit

Continuity

The group who set out for Flutter Valley are chased by Ahhg the giant spider after tickling him and slipping away unnoticed. As they make a dash towards a nearby cliff, Gingerbread and Baby Lickety Split have somehow joined the group, but Baby Lickety Split should be with the Grundles and Spike, and Gingerbread should be back at Paradise Estate.
When the Smooze is attacking Dream Castle, Shady is seen running away. But at that moment in time she should be out in Dream Valley with the purple Bushwoolie looking for Spike and Baby Lickety Split.
The flutter ponies are flying through a bed of flowers, one pony rises up twice.
As the group begins to climb up the cliff, you see the group of Ponies and humans, plus Sweet Stuff and Gingerbread, with them. In the next shot Gingerbread and Sweet Stuff have vanished.

Revealing mistakes

Due to the rushed production of the film, many scenes end abruptly and the edits into the following scenes are often abrupt and clumsily done. None of them use any common transitional effects such as fading, wiping, fanning, dissolving, flipping, etc. It makes it obvious that this movie was technically unfinished before it was released into theaters.
On home media releases when in the 4:3 aspect ratio, parts of the ending credits are cut off the screen, due to being zoomed in from its original theatrical format.
