Federico Limón (José Luis López Vázquez) is a bank clerk happily married to Pilar (Amparo Baró). He is good-tempered person , but he's really bored and tired with his monotonous existence . But one day a body falls on his car . Before he has time to react , some men show up to pick up the body and put it in the trunk of another vehicle. From now on , his life goes wrong and something smells bad. Federico life is about to change completely , as he's pursued , threatened , kidnapped , his car is robbed and anything else. It seems to be the unfortunate Federico is in the middle of something very strange and while things go awry .

This Spanish production is treated with professionalism and skillness , achieving its purpose of being interesting enough to the viewers , shaking their natural skepticism and placing them in the position of proposing alternatives and imagining consequences , in spite of its slow-moving . Concerning the Kafkaesque vicissitudes in which the unfortunate starring finds himself involved , it serves to professional director Fernando Huertas to confidently recount a twisted story that results in a tragicomic pirouette . The engaging plot anticipates other subsequent films , such as : The Game by David Fincher , El Show De Truman or Truman Show by Peter Weir, La Cabaña En El Bosque or The Cabin in the Woods by Drew Goddard and Black Mirror series . Director skilfully guides the plot to the film by setting that best incidents and developing a permanent intrigue on whose success is mainly due to the excellent acting by J. L. López Vázquez . Interesting storyline for a brilliant script and decent direction that focuses on suspense as well as an attractive and valuable plot . The picture was competently played by José Luis López Vázquez . He had a long career who spans over 40 years . His beginning as a notorious secondary in the film Esa pareja feliz (1951), he appeared in the credits together with two debutant key directors in Spanish cinema: Juan Antonio Bardem and Luis García Berlanga. His first roles were comic roles in general , and increasingly important. In 1958 he started to have his first successes : Una muchachita de Valladolid' in theatre together with 'Elisa Montes' and Alberto Closas, and El pisito (1958) in cinema together with Mary Carrillo. From now o , he acted in the best stage companies and also became an almost indispensable figure in Spanish cinema in the following three decades . Some of his best films are the following ones : El cochecito (1960), Plácido (1961), Atraco a las tres (1962) and El verdugo (1963). He met filmmakers like Marco Ferreri, Juan Antonio Bardem, José María Forqué , Carlos Saura and Luis García Berlanga, who were able to extract from his funniness amazing nuances like tenderness, dirtiness, meanness, absurd and even nonsense. His popularity raised after he worked together with Gracita Morales in several films of less importance under the direction of Mariano Ozores or Pedro Lazaga . He got a big hit with these films which even got stronger after the international effects caused by his TV film 'La cabina' , a his serious roles as 'El Bosque del Lobo¨, ¨Mi querida Señorita¨, ¨Mi Prima Angélica¨, ¨Peppermint frappé¨ , as well as his contribution to 'George Cukor's Travels with my aunt' (1972) and other co-productions as Totó de Arabia , Camas calientes, Los viajeros del atardecer or Muerte en el Vaticano. He's finely accompanied by a familiar plethora of Spanish actors , such as : Claudia Gravy , Maria Barranco , Emilio Fornet , María Jesús Hoyos, Chus Lampreave , José Lifante , Emiliano Redondo, among others.

It packs an adequate and agreeable musical score by veteran Miguel Asins Arbó , including catching leitmotif . As well as atmospheric cinematography by Javier Salmones. The motion picture was wll directed by Fernando Huertas (Terca vida) . Rating : 6/10 . Well worth watching . Acceptable and passable. The yarn will appeal to José Luis López Vázquez fans .
