How to recall an era of depression and pointlessness yet finish with the eternal hope of love - this film starts slow but takes us on a trip to the emptiness of Montana after the mines closed and there's no work for the 'Nam vets who've been mentally and physically traumatised. Powerful stuff. Film suffers from too close miking.
