The gladiator fight takes place in the Colosseum, which was built more than a century after Julius Caesar's death.
When Caesar is presented gifts from all the provinces of the Roman empire, Egypt is mentioned with them. During Caesar's lifetime, Egypt was still independent, despite having somewhat of a vassal status.
