Airwolf (1984)

Goofs

Airwolf

Edit

Continuity

When Airwolf is being shot by Libyan tanks it gets covered by sand and dust. In next shot it's shiny and clean again.
When engaging a French Mirage, Airwolf deploys the ADF pod (the unit that fires the missiles) at very high speed. This contradicts a statement of the in flight systems specialist at the start of the movie saying that the ADF pod cannot be deployed above 300 knots.
While Moffet tortures Gabrielle next to the jeep, she has her shoes on. When Hawke finds her, she appears to be barefoot.
When Hawke lands the Hughes 500 helicopter at the film set, the actor in the left seat is clearing having his hands on the controls flying the chopper. In the next sequence, when the helicopter is on the ground, he is crying and covering his face with his hands.

Factual errors

In Libya, when Moffet is chasing an enemy aircraft, the other pilots are stating that it is a Mirage. The enemy aircraft shown is in fact a Dassault Mystère IV, completely different from the profile shown on the computer-screen identifying the enemy aircraft.
The Russian MD500 helicopter (around 8 minutes in) has a partial N-number visible on the bottom. Russian aircraft registration numbers begin with the letter "R", N-numbers are only for USA/FAA registered aircraft.

Revealing mistakes

The design of Airwolf's guns seem incompatible with her landing gear. The gear is seen deployed from the "wings" with the weapons both deployed and not, revealing there isn't enough room for the guns, ammunition feeding system *and* the landing gear struts.

Miscellaneous

On several occasions a crew member turns a dial to jam enemy radar. However, this dial controls the chain guns and is labeled "Firing rate x100".
