In order to activate the Lions, each team member had to insert a special key. In many instances when Keith is starting the Voltron forming sequence, his key can still be seen on his tunic, but then is also seen on the panel of his lion, and then moves in the same way - left to right - as it already did when first being used to activate the Black Lion.
In various instances, the characters change both clothes and hair-styles in between scenes without having adequate time to do so.
A repeated piece of footage shows the Land Team launching. As the camera rotates around the lead vehicle, a "5" is seen briefly on the deck, then vanishes.
The opening narration states the Galaxy Alliance was formed by "the good planets of the solar system." This phrasing suggests both that Earth and the other planets sharing the sun are the entire alliance, and that some of those worlds are not friendly.
The closing credits of the Lion Force episodes show Alura in her uniform, including the ones before she took over flying Blue Lion.
The Air Team's Astro Fighter is often seen separating into the component ships before forming Voltron. This seems unnecessary, as four of the five ships are in the same positions in both configurations. The only holdout is Ginger's red jet, which is rotated 180 degrees opposite.
The Mouse Plane appears to use wings and a propeller for flight, in the form of spinning whiskers and extended ears. But it's often seen hovering without visible means to do so. If the plane has anti-gravity/hover technology, the wings and prop would be obsolete.
Hazar repeatedly alternates from wanting peace with the Alliance to ordering their destruction.
Drule Commander Malvor and Mongo are identical but have different voices. In Dairugger XV, they are the same character. A similar error happened with Commander Zabbar. This time, two completely different characters (who didn't resemble each other much) were given the same name and the same voice.
