Decent Family drama - until the end
eddielouie-19 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This film has some decent performances - especially from Ari Meyers as the young girl Jenny - and is both emotional and well written. However whatever one feels about these characters is completely ruined by the ludicrous ending when the 12 year old protagonist borrows her friend's mother's car and drives successfully to a NYC airport and somehow finds her mother before she leaves back for France on a 1am Pan Am flight. This is a rather serious and touching movie that falls into parody/farce in the last 10 minutes. It is stupefying how this script was shot with this ending.

A fair family drama
searchanddestroy-18 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
If it would have been made some years later, it could have been a KRAMER VS KRAMER rip off. OK, the scheme described above is not exactly the same, but we can find here some things in common. I am not a find of this kind of stuff, but it is rather pleasant to watch from time to time. It is curious that this was made by a vet from UK, Robert day, who also directed some TARZAN features. I don't know the actors of this movie for TV, but who cares, as long as it remains worth to see. Typical TV material, for housewives on afternoons.

It is also peculiar that this film has not been commented yet. Features far harder to find than this one have already been told about on IMDb. It also was released on french channels.
