When the Ford Torino is pushed over the quarry wall, it makes one revolution and lands upright in the water. The grille was the only thing damaged on the way down. Later, when they pull the car back up, the engine is gone, the hood is peeled back, and the top is crushed. None of that happened during the crash.
When Rick picks up Heather to go swimming at the quarry, she runs out to the van empty handed, wearing blue jean shorts and a white printed top. When they arrive at the quarry, she's wearing a summer dress/bathing suit coverup and carrying a blue purse.
When Rick and Heather take the truck to deliver flowers in town, Heather's seating position keeps changing. When she first gets in, you can see her put her arm on the window ledge. The camera changes to an interior shot and now she is sitting in the middle, elbow to elbow with Rick. The camera changes to show the truck driving away and now Heather is sitting next to the door again. The camera goes back to the interior shot and now Heather is elbow to elbow with Rick again.
The film is set in the U.S., but there is a Canadian flag displayed prominently in front of a public building.
Although set in the United States, the badge on the police officer's cap is topped with a crown, revealing that the film was shot in Canada.
