Towards the end, Mr Hobbs and Dick read Cedric's letter in New York, informing them of Minna's competing claim. Mr Hobbs shows Dick a newspaper article stating that the legitimate heir to Dorincourt had been found. The newspaper is dated January 24, 1872. This implies that the conversation between the two takes place after Christmas. In the following sequences, however, Mr Hobbs and the Tipton brothers travel to Dorincourt and spend Christmas there. Of course it is possible that the stay of the three at Dorincourt occurs over the next Christmas, but this would require almost a year to pass between Dick's discovery that Minna is a fraud and the revelation. This would be unlikely, given Havisham's and the Earl's urgency to resolve the matter.

When Mrs. Errol comes across Earls Lane the second view down the lane is the same view that the Earl and Ceddie have in their second view of the lane. Two people are scraping mud from their shoes, a female is walking towards them carrying two buckets, and someone crosses the view. It is not as wide and does not pan out as far.
While Ceddie is riding his new pony in the stable there are four views of the stable area from the right and behind where his grandfather is sitting. In the second of these four views the stable boy with the cap is not in the far left corner. He's moved to the right center next to another stable person.
During the Christmas dinner after everyone has been served and is eating, there are seven scenes showing everyone eating their dinner. When they show the two dogs facing each other the three people at the table behind them have clean plates. This is followed by additional scenes where everyone is eating.
At the Earl's party the orchestra is playing the song "Oh The Golden Slippers". The song was released in 1879 but the "New York Tribune" that is shown later in the movie is from early 1872.

When Dick and Mr. Hobbs are in Ceddies bedroom talking about the Christmas party, a mic is visible above Mr. Hobbs when he says "I wouldn't have missed this trip and its consequences for all the tea in china Ceddie".
