Linda Lavin working in a factory
lightninboy9 May 2005
It's kind of surprising no one has commented on this movie yet. It was a movie that almost everyone could enjoy. Linda Lavin's character needs a radiator or something for her car. The only way to afford it and get her car back drivable is to make more money per hour by doing work normally done by men in a part of the factory she works in. The factory makes engine heads or something, and she must be able to fill in at more than one job station. She must be able to die grind and run a stacking crane or whatever. The men make it hard for her. The man giving her the qualifying test shows her how she can qualify, and she passes the test and can get her car back. Check out Linda Lavin as an Australian sheep rancher in A Place to Call Home.
