Polly cuts a car off leaving the Kid at the gas station and that car turns sideways. Later, when the kid is running to towards this car and while under fire from the cops, he takes cover at the base of the gas pumps. A stray shot ignites the pumps and the explosion camera angle faces the front of the gas station and the car is gone.
The reporter, Jake Lingle, who is killed at the end of the film by Robert Forster's character, Turk, was a real person. Lingle was gunned down in 1930, four years before the setting of this film. Lingle was killed by an underpass as shown in the film, however, it was at rush hour with crowds of people around.
When Polly is recruiting Pops for one last bank job, the mannequin in the shop window behind them can be seen moving slightly. On his audio commentary, director Lewis Teague reveals that they didn't have an actual mannequin on set, so the make-up girl was asked to pose as one.
In the parlor at Anna Sage's bordello, when Polly meets Turk for the first time, one of the topless prostitutes obviously has breast implants and that surgery was not available during this time period.
When Polly and Eddie first meet, he kicks over a flaming barrel which quickly ignites several cardboard boxes. But as soon as Polly punches him in the stomach, the flames have instantly gone out.
The restroom scene where Frognose pulls up his suspenders the straps snap and the sound don't match.
Reflection of crew-members and equipment visible in car window when Polly and Eddie find their way blocked by the police.
