Carry on Emmannuelle (1978)

Goofs

Carry on Emmannuelle

Edit

Continuity

Emmannuelle (and, later, a gay passer-by) try to raise a reaction from the guardsman at St James' Palace. When the guardsman is shown in close-up, his tunic buttons are arranged singly, showing him to be a Grenadier Guard. When he is seen from a distance, his buttons are clearly arranged in groups of three, making him a Scots Guard.
From the footage and the location of the statues, Leyland drives around Trafalgar Square several times, even though it appears he drives around once.
When Leyland takes Emmannuelle for a ride around London, a green bus can be seen passing the car behind his head. In the very next shot when the camera cuts to Emmannuelle it disappears.
When Emile and Emmanuel skydive from the airplane, the stunt people doing the scene are obviously clothed in jumpsuits, not nude as following shots indicate.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

The Police Commissioner warns Emmannuelle that someone may want to kill her husband. We cut quickly to Emile sitting at the dinner table chatting to his guests he says, "There is more appropriate..." but his lips can be seen saying something completely different.

Crew or equipment visible

When Emmannuelle is seen at the back of Leyland's car when he drives her around London, a crew-member's hand enters shot, on the right of the screen, very briefly.

Character error

When the Doctor talks to Emmannuelle about the Pill, he mentions it only has a 99.99% success rate (i.e., to prevent pregnancy), but she is the unlucky 0.001%. This does not add up to 100%, only to 99.991%. He should have said 0.01%.
