Roxanna Bonilla-Giannini also appeared in a previous shark movie, Sharks' Treasure (starring and directed by Cornel Wilde) in 1975, which was the same year as Jaws so it's not considered a Jaws clone like this movie.
As a Jaws-Clone, Richard Yniguez is the lead i.e. Chief Brody (Roy Scheider), although he's a diver for a living at an oil rig; Philip Clark, the shark expert, is the Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss); and David Huddleston the old salty dog that has the boat, a mellow version of Quint (Robert Shaw).
One of the main similarities with Jaws is the scene with all the random fisherman circling with their boats to try killing the shark (the easy way) to get the reward money.
Elizabeth Gill appeared in director William A. Graham's TV-movie 'Larry' two years previously.
