Romantic but slow-moving film with two ordinary stars of the seventies : Patxi Andión and Amparo Muñoz , marriage in real life

Ambitious drama with acceptable environments and atmospheric production design , though falls flat and is regularly developed . A young rich woman called Diana (Amparo Muñoz) married to a powerful man called Marcos (Simón Andreu) drives her luxurious car into a petrol station when meets a good-looking attendant named Juan (Patxi Andión) . The upper-class woman named Diana starts an extra-marital affair with the lower-class Petrol station attendant who assists her but things go wrong .

This is a so-so film that packs a twisted love story , emotions , twists , turns and nudism . Moving film dealing with a loving triangle , brief intrigue , plot twists but slow , deliberately paced and ultimately turns out to be a little boring . The screenplay by Rafael Sánchez Campoy , Gonzalo Goicoechea and Eloy De La Iglesia himself is such strong with disagreeable events , including lots of nudism , violent scenes , though also with some ingenuousness . The picture contains a lot of inter-courses and in soft-core style starred by two main stars , marriage in real life , including car oil and snow love frolics . Singer/actor Patxi Andion as a virile stud provides a decent acting as the too-impressionable worker who leaves his girlfriend , Yolanda Rios , to remain with his new sweetheart . Amparo Muñoz gives a below-average acting as the calculating , cold woman with whom he has a loving relationship . Amparo was a gorgeous woman , Miss Spain in 1973, and Miss Universe in 1974 , she started her career as model in advertising and on the runways, but did not finish her reign as Miss Universe . She gave up the crown six months later when she refused to be manipulated by the organization and rejected taking a trip to Japan . Attractive support cast formed by some familiar faces in brief appearances , such as : Ricardo Merino , Yolanda Ríos , Vicky Lagos , Fabián Conde , Antonio del Real and Eva León . Dark and cold cinematography by prestigious Carlos Suarez , as a perfect remastering being necessary . Being shot on location in Madrid surroundings and Navarcarnero . Boring , inappropriate musical score and songs by Patxi Andión himself .

¨The Other Bedroom" motion picture was regularly directed by Eloy De La Iglesia , containing some flaws and gaps . Eloy studied cinema in Paris at the IDHEC . He began working in cinema in 1966 , though he became famous in the years of the Spanish transition to the democracy with provoking films . Drugs, delinquency , terrorism and generational problems are the common subjects in his films . Iglesia was a prolific writer/filmmaker , after directing 21 films in 20 years (1966/1986) he stopped due to drug addiction , a problem that he seemed to have until his early death at 62 . De La Iglesia is a good Spanish movies director , he began working in cinema in 1966 , though he became notorious in the years of the Spanish transition to democracy with shocking and polemic films as ¨El Pico 1 and 2¨ , ¨El Diputado¨, ¨The priest , ¨Clockwork terror¨ , ¨El Techo De Cristal¨, ¨La Semana Del Asesino¨ , and after ¨Bulgarian lovers¨ and many others . And ¨Turn of a Screw¨ in which Eloy Iglesia gives an unexpected academic and acceptable version , abandoning his ordinary provocation . Homosexuality , perversion , classes differences are the habitual subjects in his films , and specially dedicated to the underworld of heroin ; as well as the gay world . With the passing of time hasn't had no mercy with most of Eloy's movies, but they represent a time and a way of life in the history of Spain ; and now they may seem a little bit ingenious . As Eloy De La Iglesia chose young and natural actors Jose Luis Manzano , Pirri , or Quique San Francisco were the usual ones . Most of them early deceased by drugging , including the filmmaker himself . Rating : 5.5/10 , Acceptable and passable.
