Kay Lenz and Stephen McHattie in Moving Violation (1976)

Goofs

Moving Violation

Edit

Continuity

The Pontiac Ventura crashes into a pole, leaving a dent in the front end, when Bubba shoots at them, but in some later shots, the dent has disappeared.
The rear view mirror in Bubba's car changes from being broken in half to undamaged when he and Rankin mistakenly chase after Frank.
When Cam and Eddie go into the gas station restaurant, the window in the Cadillac is down, but when they escape back in it, the window is back up.

Revealing mistakes

The film is supposed to take place in Texas, though when Cam, Eddie, and Alex are approaching the Courthouse for surrender, there is a long shot taken of the crowd awaiting on the Courthouse steps and the California flag is clearly seen flying on the flagpole revealing that filming took place in California instead. You can also see palm trees in the background and even shots of Burbank before the start of the final chase scene.
When Mack gets into his car to chase the station wagon, Dick Miller accidentally hits himself with the door.
Several stunt people are visible during the car chase scenes, including two stunt drivers who are clearly wearing crash helmets and when Mack, played by Dick Miller, crashes into the water and angrily pounds the top of his car, it's not Miller, but his stunt double.
Obvious stunt double when Eddie Albert's character leans out the back of the station wagon to unhook the trailer with the boat on it, during the final chase scene.

Character error

When Sheriff Rankin is notifying the Cody County police chief over the radio about the stolen car Cam and Eddie are in, he calls the car a El Dorado Cadillac, where it should have been called a Cadillac El Dorado.
