When Deacon crosses the street to the SOS building, all the traffic is driving through a red light.
When Wayne (Jerry Reed) approaches Uncle Furry (played by musician Furry Lewis) outside his home, Uncle Furry happily exclaims out of character, "Reed, is that you?"

Anachronisms

The movie is set in 1957 but the logo on the RC Cola cooler in the diner is a more-modern design not introduced until years later.
