Carry on Girls (1973)

Goofs

Carry on Girls

Edit

Continuity

William is taking Mrs Dukes across the road to get her knickers, Hope Springs shoots past on the motorbike, nearly knocking them over. She rides straight past the hotel, but next time we see her, she is in the hotel car park.
When Hope Springs pushes Sidney backwards, she pushes him away from the donkey, but in the very next shot he hits the donkey which causes Miss Brakes to fall off.
When Miss Brakes pulls the Mayor's trousers down, she pulls them down with both hands. She then puts her left hand to her mouth in shock. In the next wide angle shot she is seen putting her right hand to her mouth and her left hand is on the Mayor's trousers.
When Sid appears on stage with the umbrella, his suit is wet with the water falling from the theatre sprinkler system. In the very next shot he runs out of the theatre his suit is bone dry and the umbrella disappears.
When Sid jumps on the go-cart he is seen driving up a ramp on Fircombe pier. In the very next shot he is seen passing fairground attractions and the ramp is nowhere in sight.

Revealing mistakes

When the girls are fighting in the Hotel Lobby they jump onto a sofa and it falls backwards. The lady seated on the sofa can be seen helping it fall backwards with her foot.
Obvious stunt double when Hope Springs drives off the pier on the motorbike to catch up with Sid who is ahead on the go-cart.
When Mildred comes downstairs her cigarette is short but when she's in the kitchen the cigarette is longer.
In the nursery opening scene, when the babies start crying and the nurses rush to comfort them, the nearest one is a doll (the other "babies" aren't really visible but are probably also just dolls)

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Hope Springs says, "Sid, wait for me," her lips do not move.
When Connie Philpotts says, "You lecherous so and so," her lips do not move.
