When the Baxters first arrive at the hotel, Johnny wipes the frost off the stained glass window exposing only the hotel name. When the window is seen from the inside about a minute later, where Johnny wiped the frost is not visible as all the frost is clear of the window.
At the beginning of the movie when Johnny punches in, the time clock reads Tuesday 29. At the time of the movie release the 29th was a Tuesday in 1952, 1957 and 1963. The Baxter's car appears to be a 1970 Ford Torino Wagon meaning it couldn't be any of those years.
When Johnny rigs the computer card machine. ribbons of paper are seen flying out of the machine. While this happens, individual cards are seen spewing out of the machine as well.
When Johnny tells the family where they are moving, he states that they are going to Silver Hill, Colorado. When Richard asks him where the location is, Johnny states it is in Wyoming.
Johnny tells Sue that bats cannot hurt her. Humans should avoid handling bats because some species of bat, such as the hoary and big brown bats, have large teeth that can puncture the skin if they are handled improperly.
