Up Pompeii (1971)

Goofs

Up Pompeii

Edit

Continuity

Just before the scrolls are mixes up in the first shot the one at the back is rolling slightly in another shot it is the one in front which is moving.

Factual errors

Nero was not the Emporer when Pompeii was destroyed by Vesuvius Titus was.
In the DVD version that came free with the 'News of the World' newspaper on Sunday 09 April 2006 (UK), Eileen Warwick's job description should be hairdresser. Instead it reads as Hairdersser.

Miscellaneous

In the same 'News of The World' DVD, Actors Warwick Sims and Jonathan Dennis are credited in the main titles but omitted from the end titles.

Crew or equipment visible

The shadow of a camera can be seen when Lurcio is being confronted by the guards.

Plot holes

Lurcio claims to Bilius that he didn't read the incriminating scroll because he never learned to read, but he has no problem reading the ode written by Nausius. There is no reason to believe he is lying to Bilius, because at no point does Lurcio ever appear to try to read the scroll. If he had read the scroll earlier, it would have changed the whole plot.
