Trog (1970)

Goofs

Trog

Edit

Continuity

Trog is wearing a headband with electrodes attached when he goes into his memory flash-back sequence. When he comes out of the sequence, the headband and electrodes are missing.
When Bill emerges from the underground pool he is not wet.
Coming out of the cave, it's daylight, but the shot of the sun show's it's sunset.
In the cave Trog was bare-chested, he is constantly clothed or not.

Factual errors

Under sodium pentothal, Trog "remembers" seeing dinosaurs...impossible, since they went extinct 30 million years before the first ape, let alone the first "ape-man", evolved.
When a reporter takes a flash photo of Trog (against the Doctor's orders) that frightens then enrages him, the flash lasts far too long. Trog's face is illuminated for a full 2-3 seconds instead of what a flash bulb would have lasted which would have been a fraction of a second.
Trog tips a car over, and it explodes.

Revealing mistakes

When the transmitter is being surgically implanted in Trog, the surgeon's first incision clearly doesn't break the skin.
When Trog hangs the butcher from a hook, the camera reveals in one of the takes that there's only a coat hanger in its place.
The credits list the nurse as simply 'nurse' (uncredited). Dr. Brockton (Crawford) calls her Cleo. Cleo is the actress' real name.
When Dr Brockton throws Trog a lizard,it is clearly made of rubber.

Miscellaneous

If "Trog is not a carnivore," then why are they feeding him fish and lizards?.
After they rewind the automated doll for Trog, it does not walk?.

Character error

Dr. Brockton refers to "thou shalt not kill" as the 2nd commandment, but the commandment against murder is actually either the fifth or sixth commandment (depending on which division is used). The 2nd commandment is either a command against idolatry or against taking the Lord's name in vain.
