This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Why isn't it available on DVD or VHS? Is it because of the content? It should definitely be release. The intensity of the movie is outstanding. You are constantly thinking about the plot and on the edge of your seat. Romy gives one of the most wonderful performances any actress has ever given. I was surprise that nothing was ever heard of this movie at the Academy Awards. Maybe the content is too explicit for general release, but, why not put an appropriate label on the movie and release it? I think it is a shame that such on story with great acting is hidden from the public. This is such a well directed and acting movie, it is a shame to hide it from the public. Hope it can be released soon.

The movie is really great, especially the performance of Romy Schneider, the most beautiful actress in the history of cinema, and the wonderful songs in the film, especially "What's on your mind". It's worth to watch the movie just to see the unique face of Romy Schneider and her brilliant acting. When I saw the movie for the first time, I found it quite boring, but now after watching it several times, I must say that he is a little masterpiece, not because of the story, but of the great acting of Romy Schneider, Donald Houston and Dennis Waterman, the soundtrack, and the camera. Maybe the movie will be "discovered" by others, I hope it!

This movie is really a great one, mostly because of the great performance of Romy Schneider. She looks incredibly beautiful and acts wonderful. I also found the soundtrack very good, there are some excellent songs contained. Too bad there isn't a soundtrack album available, it would be really worth it!! The directing is also very good, I found the various camera movements and angles really well done. So, a DVD and Soundtrack album release would be really appreciated!

I want repeat: This movie is really a great one, mostly because of the great performance of Romy Schneider. She looks incredibly beautiful and acts wonderful. I accurately think of this same form and would like, if possible, to repeat the text of Lidercs. This film was very important for me. It had a very special music, (it enters as much) that I do not obtain to locate.

We located this movie in Montreal in 1994 in French with NO English subtitles......This was an NTSC VHS released in Quebec probably in the 1970's.....The Running Time that we have located is 1 Hour 33 Minutes...No English version has been sighted in Quebec.......Have never seen a better quality version in our 15 years of driving around Quebec and New Brunswick looking for old French movies..........We do not buy films on the internet so not sure what was released on European format......May still be available as an ex-rental but we stopped buying ex-rentals in 2002.....Most have been opened and the original tape replaced with 3rd and 4th generation copies.....It is a god film and a little controversial because of the theme......some of the big auction sites have banned films about incest......Most of the Romy Schneider films we have found in Quebec are in French with no subtitles.....

Released in North America on NTSC videotape in 1969.....

ROMY SCHNEIDER 1969 Film L'INCEST......This film was released on NTSC VHS videotape in North America by Rene Malo Video in 1969.....It had a small distribution in Quebec and the French speaking areas of Eastern Canada and the northeastern USA......It was released in French Language with no English Subtitles.....It is no longer In Print and is rarely seen in French Canadian video stores.....the Ex-Rentals are generally poor quality and and the original tape has usually been removed .....There has not been a DVD release of this film in North America......It was released with a French language jacket with a picture of Romy Schneider on the front and two stills from the film on the back of the jacket...one photo has Romy Schneider kissing her son and the other has her standing in front of a large fire......The English translation of the title is "My Lover My Son".......It is considered controversial because of the Incest theme......Directed by John Newland and stars Romy Schneider, Donald Houston, Dennis Waterman....the run time of the North American release is 1 hour 33 minutes......."Romy Schneider can't cope with the death of her lover, who is the father of her only son, James. As her son is somehow part of her dead lover, she falls in love with him ......."

i hope maximum viewer like the soundtracks as the movie and specially that song which i dunno the title but know few lines and that is WHATS ON YOUR MIND WHAT WILL YOU SAY.from longtime ago i am looking for that song but because i dunno who sang that and i tried my best 2 find out that song but still no luck.hope somebody will help me out 2 know who sang that beautiful song.without doubt i can say that movie soundtracks is just like made for each other as the movie plot and subject.as they combined that great combination of music and movie plot they should help people to know more about that movie soundtracks.by the way i download that movie from some site many days ago and watched it many times already and its true that movie is awesome from every angle.not only acting but also every thing related to make a great movie.those didn't seen that yet i am sure they missed something very very special but as the movie subject depend on taste also because this movie about relation between blood.once again the very known saying stand straight in this movie as we all know LOVE IS BLIND.but those don't believe in this kind of blind love i think they wont like this movie.so what i am sure many like this movie so far as i heard from other viewer in other forums
