Continuity

Corey's Plymouth has Marseille 13 plates in the showroom and halfway through the film. In Paris, the plates suddenly change to Paris 75 plates and after this, back to Marseille 13 plates.
There's a cut as Commissaire Mattei turns on the lamp in his apartment. The cat beside the green chair disappears and the cat in the chair switches from facing sideways to facing the camera.
When Mattei returns to his office after Le Receleur's son has overdosed, he pulls the door open. In the next cut from inside the office, Mattei is seen pushing the door open.
When Corey gets out of his car and walks to the trunk, the direction of the falling rain changes.
When Vogel (Gian-Maria Volonte) climbs out of the trunk in the field, his trousers and shoes are already very muddy from previous takes of the scene. When he climbs back into the trunk, all the mud is gone from his trousers and there is very little on his shoes.

Factual errors

Vogel escapes from moving train smashing the compartment window. When Mattei pulls the emergency handle giving chase, no alarm is heard. However, after the train has stopped, alarm is ringing.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Jansen molds his bullets carefully weighing the lead for them. As he pours the molten lead to the mold, he ruins the effort by spilling most of the meticulously measured stuff on the table.
Jansen (Yves Montand) practices shooting in the woods with neither a telescope nor a tripod, but during the heist he uses both items.

Miscellaneous

As Corey starts to chalk the billiard cue, remains of blue chalk are seen on the tip, but Corey adds red chalk. Possible, but why would the closed pool hall have suddenly changed the chalk color?
Vogel and Mattei chase through a copse of wood away from the train. Later, when police arrive with dogs, they start to trail the fugitive from a wide open field by the railroad track.
